UAS students need your support!

When the University of Alaska announced in March that students would not be returning to campus during the COVID-19 pandemic, many of you reached out to ask how you could help. 

The pandemic has created a challenge unlike anything the University has faced in recent history and we send our best wishes for health and safety to all of our alumni and friends. Our UAS family is coming together to help support students during this time. Thank you to all who have reached out to help!

You can support current UAS students through one of the following efforts:

• Already, UAS has provided financial support to more than 45 students who have been impacted by COVID-19 transitions and requests are still coming. We have established a new fund to help, the UAS Student Emergency Support Fund.  This fund will provide financial assistance, aid for housing displacement, medical emergency relief and more for students. Your support of this fund will ensure that today's students have the funds they need to stay in school and complete their degrees. 
• The UAS Food Pantry is an on-campus resource for students facing food insecurity. Our UAS family believes that no one should go hungry. Your support of this fund will ensure that students' most basic needs can be met during the COVID-19 pandemic and beyond. 

UAS is following CDC and state guidelines for staying socially distanced, but that doesn’t stop us from coming together online. Together, we will ensure that our students are supported through these times, are able to continue their education and eventually are able to leave their mark on the world.
