“I have served on the emergency scholarship committee for the past year, and it is clear that these funds are helping students in many different ways. I've seen these funds utilized to buy emergency plane tickets when a student has suffered a significant loss, for expensive books or lab fees that are not covered by some financial aid, to help cover expenses of the last few credits to complete a degree when a student has used up all their financial aid, and even for unexpected medical expenses.”
